The Integrated Waste Management Facilities feature an advanced incineration facility and a demonstration-scale plant for recyclable material recovery. Phase 1 has the capacity to process 3,200 tonnes of mixed municipal solid waste daily: 3,000 tonnes are converted into electricity, and 200 tonnes are sorted and recycled, including glass, plastics, ferrous, and non-ferrous metals. 

The project also includes breakwaters and a reclaimed island, which serve as the foundation for an integrated waste management facility equipped with port handling and essential ancillary facilities such as desalination and wastewater treatment plants.

Asia Infrastructure Solutions Limited is the lead engineering consultant to provide designs for prefabricated seawalls and breakwater (to minimise impacts to marine environment), civil infrastructure, reclamation, building structures, building services, a chimney structure of around 150m tall and also leading a team for the architectural, landscape architectural, wind tunnel testing and other specialists.
